Catalyst

Using Catalyst on your phone

Catalyst works in your phone's browser: find a song, play it, share it and approve deliveries from anywhere, with nothing to install.

Open app.joincatalyst.io in Safari or Chrome on your phone and sign in as usual. The whole app adapts to the smaller screen; nothing to install.

What's different on a phone#

Navigation
The sidebar becomes a drawer: tap the menu in the top bar. The top bar also holds search, notifications and your account.
Library
Each song is a two-line row with its artwork, title, writers and key facts, a play button and a ⋯ menu (Share…, Select). Filters scroll sideways.
Player
A mini player sits at the bottom while something is loaded. Tap it for the full player with the waveform, shuffle and the queue. Use your phone's buttons for volume.
Dialogs
Open as sheets from the bottom of the screen; search (⌘K on a computer) opens full screen.
Song pages
Sections stack, and Back is the arrow at top left.

Things people do on the go#

Find and send a song

  1. Step 1: Tap search in the top bar and type a title or writer.
  2. Step 2: Tap the song's ⋯ menu, then Share….
  3. Step 3: Choose the link's settings and create it. Your phone's share sheet opens, so you can send it by text, email or any messaging app.

Approve a delivery

  1. Step 1: Open Deliveries from the drawer. The original email starts collapsed, so the proposed song comes first.
  2. Step 2: Check the fields and writers, then use Approve or Reject in the bar at the bottom of the proposal.

A native app#

An iPhone and Android app, built for listening with light editing, is planned. Until then, the browser gives you everything the app on your computer does.
